Ventilated Facade

What is the ventilated facade?

The ventilated facade is a dry construction system that covers the external facade of the building using various types of cladding slabs.

The system is characterized by the presence of an appropriately sized cavity (air knife), placed between the finishing layer and the building infill, inside which a non-hydrophilic thermal insulating panel is placed in contact with the wall of the building. 'building.

The cavity allows you to create the so-called "chimney effect", an ascending air flow that determines natural ventilation between the external cladding and the internal wall: this ventilation improves the thermoenergetic performance of the building.

The fields of application are numerous including public buildings, residential buildings, shopping centres, business centers and industrial complexes.

The wide range of materials with which the ventilated facade cladding can be created allows the designer to achieve particular aesthetic results.

The reasons for its growing popularity include the significant energy savings it offers combined with its ability to improve living comfort.

A range of thermal, acoustic, aesthetic and functional advantages that add great value to the product.

Heat loss to the outside in winter is blocked, as is heat from outside in summer, resulting in energy savings of between 15% and 35%, both in terms of heating and air conditioning.
