Functional Layers

Functional Layers

The ventilated wall is composed of the following functional layers:

01

PERIMETER WALL

it is the wall support on which the load-bearing structure of the ventilated wall is anchored and the insulating layer is fixed.

02

INSULATING LAYER

made up of non-hydrophilic thermal insulating panels, of variable thickness depending on the thermal needs of the project. The panels entirely cover the perimeter walls of the building in order to have seamless thermal insulation which allows the elimination of thermal bridges. It contributes to the acoustic insulation of the building.

03

VENTILATION LAYER

Cavity that is created between the insulation and the external covering to allow the "chimney effect" which favors the elimination of humidity (in winter) and the dispersion of heat (in summer).

04

BEARING STRUCTURE

Structure to which the cladding slabs of the ventilated façade are anchored and is made up of brackets that allow the adjustment of any out-of-plumb, vertical uprights and anchoring systems for the slabs which vary depending on the system chosen (visible, hidden, etc.).

05

EXTERNAL CLADDING

External cladding of the ventilated facade with porcelain stoneware slabs, stone materials, laminates, fiber cement and bricks.
